1. Why is it such a successful monologue? What elements contributed to its success?
- It' s successful because he has a clear point ( The importance of the visual in the comics and how this conveys feelings in people), also he is funny and it makes the crowd feel comfortable, he has a good developing of his ideas ( he starts talking about a personal experience and how it's related to his talk and then he stars to talk about the important points of the visual in the comics).
2. How does the speaker use their voice to engage the audience (or not)? Base these ideas on Voice Quality, Intonation, and TG&E
- He has a normal voice. His tone changes when he makes a joke or when he's talking about important points ( For example when he talked about the three important principles of a vision which can be: "learn for everyone, follow no one, watch for patterns and work like hell" he raised and emphasized his voice.
3. How does the speaker use body language to communicate their ideas (or not?)
- On my opinion he has a good body lenguage, (For example when he was talking about the vision which can be, he used a lot of gestures with his hands and eyes to show his point.
